Medals UK produced the Abergavenny Eisteddfod Award Medals for the 2016 event. Taking place annually in the pretty Monmouthshire town since a revival in 2002, the competition continues to grow in popularity. Abergavenny Eisteddfod Y Fenni is a free annual arts event for young people and adults with dance, drama, music and writing competitions for everyone, regardless of language.
On 30 April 2016 children and young people from 5 – 18 years of age took part in a range of competitions in music (singing and instrumental), dance, drama and recitals and winners were awarded the custom made Abergavenny Eisteddfod Award Medals as a souvenir. The medals were produced in gold, silver and bronze, measured 50mm and featured an antique finish, they are completed with a red presentation ribbon with white text.
